DrWanted is currently seeking well-qualified physicians available to provide Locums Hospitalist coverage at a facility located a half hour from Indianapolis, IN.
Initially a 3-month assignment, this job has a chance of being extended or going permanent:

  • BC in IM
  • Must Enroll in Indiana Patient Compensation Fund

    3 Months, Ongoing
  • Inpatient Schedule Shift 1:
    Mon.
    - Fri.
    7A 7P, and Work as Backup Physician (On Call)
  • Inpatient Schedule Shift 2:
    Mon.
    - Fri.
    7A 3P
  • 24-Hr.
    Call (Remotely):
    Physician will Take Overflow Patients:
    Weekday Census:
    Will Be Higher; Weekend Census:
    Will Be Lower, 4 - 7 Patients
  • Must Round:
    Critical Care Patients and Med.
    Surge; Will Do Admissions from ER and Round on Admitted Patients
  • Avg.
    Number of Inpatients/Day:
    28
  • Avg.
    Number of Inpatients/Night:
    9 - 14
  • Average Number of Outpatients/Week:
  • ACLS Required
  • Procedures Required:
    Short-Term Vents, Active Vaso IV Drips, Central Lines, Intubations
  • ED Backup Available
  • Open ICU
  • Currently One Hospitalist NP on Staff
  • 2 Nocturnist NPs
  • Currently 3 Physicians Rounding; One Physician Works IMPACT Center (Outpatient)
  • Patient Population Includes:
    Predominantly Orthopedic Cases, Colorectal Surgery, Podiatric Surgey, Urologic, Gynecologic , General Internal Medicine
